Hope for enlarged prostates
Saw palmetto berries are important in
glandular strengthening and toning
combinations; making it a whole-body
tonic. It strengthens the thyroid which
controls overall glandular function. It
also strengthens digestion, the lungs and
other tissues that are damaged by
debilitating, wasting or chronic diseases.
It is an aid for diabetics.
In men, it is used for impotence,
sterility, underdeveloped testicles and
enlarged prostate (BPH).
One component of saw palmetto is a
precursor of cortisone. The body may be
able to use it to regulate the metabolism
of foods and fluids to provide energy and
reduce inflammation.

Research:
Saw Palmetto(23 clinical trials); Massive
evidence in double-blind clinical trials
has shown that the liposterolic extract of
saw palmetto berries is a safe and
effective treatment for the symptoms of
BPH.1 A recent review of
studies, published in JAMA, concluded that
saw palmetto extract was as effective as
the drug finasteride (Proscar®) in the
treatment of BPH.2
