Relaxing digestive system tonic; colic
The liquid form is especially helpful with
infants. Adults can enjoy improved digestion as
well. Adjust the amount used as appropriate:
infants, use 3-5 drops; children, use ˝ dropper;
adults, use 1-2 droppers.
If you are nursing, fennel stimulates milk
production and will also carry over to the baby.
Although the flavor is mild enough for an
infant, you can also rub the liquid on baby's
back and abdomen to relieve colic.
Also try some on the back of the tongue to expel
painful gas or control hiccups. Catnip may calm
the nervous system by way of the stomach.
Research: Catnip (27 studies) produced a
sedative effect in one study and another found
it to reduce gas and act as a digestive aid.
